Here I am pretending to look bored - which I never ever let happen to me. I wish I didn’t sleep as much so I can work on all the things I’d like to work on but alas, beauty has a price.

Once upon a time, I had two holes pierced in my face. Those days are behind me. I enjoyed them while they lasted and gracefully accepted a new look.

a little (or a lot) about me

Welcome to my swanky virtual abode!

My name is Sana and I work as a Career Coach in Toronto. I did my undergrad in Dietetics/Nutrition and then took a turn from nutrition consulting to career consulting. As a big picture thinking, highly sensitive, creative empath, I wanted a space to share my insights (aka conversations with myself) and continue my journey of learning and growth. ArtySana celebrates work-life balance, lifelong learning, and creative thinking. It’s mostly my ramblings but I also feature friends who want to share their creative side.

My knowledge and learning are all over the place (quite literally as well as I also identify as a Third Culture Kid) and as a result, I identify as a polymath/renaissance woman. I think it’s healthy to think holistically and look at life from many angles. I don’t know the answers to everything, and I never will - so please take the opinions on this site with a grain of salt, for these are merely my musings.

In my spare time, I like taking long walks by the beach and crying in the shower. I’m only kidding, I hate beaches and bathing (also kidding). My spare time is taken up by crafting, cooking, making lamps, painting, angry-knitting, watching comedy, making jewelry sometimes, neglecting my musical talents, reading self-help/nonfiction, shaking my maraca, watching movies, having musical and chocolate orgasms, and learning languages. Also, learning and picking up a new skill. I’m a Second City graduate and a proud supporter of the arts, including my fellow local Toronto improvisers who are my favorite source of entertainment. When I am not doing any of the above, I’m writing or thinking of a new podcast topic.

what I write about

Nutrition, career, self-help book summaries and reviews, cooking, culture and society topics, personal development, travel notes, relationships, philosophy.
